SiS 2.2 has been published


The scheduled development of our previously announced access control software continues. Starting with version 2.0, we are constantly releasing new versions for SiS. Version 2.1 in March this year, now 2.2, and 2.3 is coming later on this year. Partners with software assurance are, of course, eligible to upgrade to the new version.

Seawing Storage Management (STM) module

The new module allows the management and control of key and storage cabinets created by third-party manufacturers (currently Traka Assa Abloy, LoxTop) with an easier-to-use, transparent interface along with efficient data retrieval and monitoring functions.

The daily management of key and storage cabinets is carried out entirely from the SiS software interface, the same way what is used for allocation of access rights. So the user can save time because there is no need to learn and use several softwares simultaneously. The management of cards and IDs is unified, there is no need to use a separate card or PIN code.

The customizable graphical interface allows us to track the current status and events of keys / storage units. Depending on various aspects, we can retrieve lists of statistics such as usage, errors, or late returns.

Camera interface

Management of external camera systems, image display and playback functions have been available in the SiS system from the very beginning, and in addition to the display of an image or video for entry events, monitoring has also been possible.

In the version just released, in addition to the technological renewal that has taken place in the background, a more noticeable change for users is the rebirth of the camera interface.

Thus, the user can access live and recorded images of the cameras with the help of a clean, easy-to-use and more stable user interface.

Cabinet lock user interface

Continuing the line, after the camera and storage management, the cabinet lock management module also underwent a transformation. It provides the user with a number of solutions that greatly facilitate daily use, such as a clearer display of statuses or group bindings, as well as the ability to allocate a cabinet from the personal editor.

To help with maintenance, the active cabinet monitor view has been introduced, where the condition of the locks can be monitored in detail, for example, data on battery voltages and communication quality.

Multifactor authentication

Listening to market needs, two-factor identification is now also available in the new version. For two-step authentication, when entering the software, you will also be asked for a number after entering the username and password, the one-time code will be sent to the user’s smartphone. Additional functions are available in password management, it is possible to apply the setting for password complexity and expiration time. You can also set a temporary password, which is a password that the user must change after logging in once.

Statement on information terminal (COVID-19)

Due to the COVID-19 situation, special measures are introduced in almost all companies. In many places, those entering the site the person may be required to make a prior declaration that he/she is has no symptoms, and have not been infected (or not known to be infected) with the COVID-19 virus since the last entry. The SW-IT-401 terminal can display an interface where the person can make the statement and the system only allows passage after the declaration has been made.

SC-1000-MX7 extended use

The potential of the SC-1000-MX7's hardware can be further exploited with the help of SiS 2.2. It is now possible to store up to 250,000 user data and 2 million events per controller. This means that even for systems with a large number of users, hardware storage capacity cannot be a barrier, even in the event of a major central system outage.

Additional bug fixes and minor improvements have also been made, such as net time spent indoors, fitting new ATS Advanced control panels, or using an 8-digit PIN code.
